Home harbour

Most of the Gouwzee trip begin and end in Monnickendam. Monnickendam is a picturesque town at the Markermeer near Amsterdam and has plenty of free parking spaces.

Monnickendam is the ideal port of operations for a trip on the Gouwzee.

During the summer the Gouwzee sails from Den Oever. This harbour is right next to the Afsluitdijk and is perfect for nice trips over the Wad. Den Oever is easy to reach by and cars and busses can be parked directly in front of the ship.
